Hardness
Type 440C stainless steel balls have uniform hardness of 58-65, as measured on the parallel flats using Rockwell C scale, regardless of size or grade.
Applicability
Type 440C stainless steel balls and rollers offer maximum uniform hardness and good corrosion resistance. Suited to valve and bearing applications, they are resistant to fresh water, crude oil, gasoline, alcohol and food stuffs.
